Ceremony- Scared People 7″ 13 November 2007

The newest release from this fairly new hardcore band, Ceremony’s “Scared People” brings more of the blazing hardcore from the 90’s powerviolence end of the spectrum. Comparable to Infest and Crossed Out, it is good to see a band in that vein gaining notoriety in a scene filled with breakdown-centered bands. Ceremony brings slow intros to nearly all of their releases, helping them to step away from their influences and carve their own space in hardcore. Their cover of Negative FX’s “Feel Like a Man” is decidedly different from the rest of the record, but is still very entertaining.

11/4/07 Show at Sean’s House in Malvern, PA 13 November 2007

Last Sunday, there was totally awesome show in Sean’s living room. Local bands the Danger O’s and The Domino Theory opened up, followed by somewhat of a Revelation Records featuring End of a Year, Capital, and Shook Ones. It was awesome of Sean’s mom to allow a big show to happen in her house. The whole thing went really well and was tons of fun. Also, the cookout was awesome.
